Visiting Galleria Doria Pamphilj

Among the private museums in Rome, Galleria Doria Pamphilj is one of the biggest.
A true gem, located in the City Centre, waiting for you.

Aristocracy and art

Palace Doria Pamphilj belongs to the family since 1647, when Prince Camillo Pamphilj married Olimpia Aldobrandini.
Through the years, their collection of masterpieces grew. In 1996 the Gallery opened its door to visitors, who still today can walk in the wonderful decorated halls just like Prince Camillo did.

A private collection open to everyone

Although it is still privately owned by the family, guests can visit Galleria Doria Pamphilj everyday from 9am to 7pm – and I really recommend you to!
Beside the Gallery, guest have the chance to see the Private Apartments of the Princess: you would never believe these apartments are still used today by the descendants of the family.
Make sure to book an official guide for an unforgettable visit!

Inestimable paintings

Caravaggio, Raphael, Titian, Guercino and Guido Reni. Galleria Doria Pamphilj hosts painting of these and many more artists.
Not only Italians, but also Flemish painters like Jan Brueghel, Pieter Brueghel or Jan van Scorel.
Icing on the cake, the amazing Portrait of Pope Innocent X (born Giovanni Battista Pamphilj) by the Spanish Diego Velazquez.
You will be speechless!

Covid-19: new rules for tourists

Italy is now in the so-called “Phase 2” of Covid emergency. Even though quarantine is over, there are still some mandatory guidelines everyone must respect.
As published on their official website, Galleria Doria Pamphilj will re-open on May 30th, 2020. Until further notice, all guests must reserve their visit in advance.
